Oh how I love Belle!!!

The highlight of my time at D23 Expo yesterday was getting to meet my favorite princess.

Oh dear god when I saw Paige O’Hara, my childhood flashed back through my mind, and I remember dancing around my house singing “Belle”, picking up huge books and pretending to read, then eventually wanting to learn to read to be just like Belle, and my mom buying me a little basket that I carried on my arm EVERYWHERE.

When she was writing my name, I spelled it out for her, and like everyone else, she paused when I said it ended with a Y instead of I-E. 

“Nataly, wow, that’s such a beautiful way to spell that name!”

Yep. I died a little inside. She told me when she was younger, she admired Natalie Wood, and dreamed of being her. I told her when I was younger, I dreamed of being her, and she laughed. 

I also got to tell her that despite how much she gets told this from her fans, that Belle was my absolute favorite, and that meeting her was such a dream come true. <3
